Dichroic Belt Buckles

The buckle is nickel plated.   It measures approximately 1 3/8 inch by 1 3/4 inch.
Belt Buckles can be ordered in any of the combinations shown these sample pages  Combos   Duets

Great news!  I have found a supplier of leather belt straps that I am now offering with the buckle.
They are reversible.  One side is black the other is brown.
You will need to cut the strap to fit and reinstall the belt into the buckle after it is cut.

To help with that process, please refer to   Belt Strap Information and buckle images at the bottom of this page.

Each glass piece is unique within the colors of each of my combinations.

Belt strap information:

Buying the buckle with the belt strap:

Your buckle will come with the belt strap attached.   You will probably need to cut it to fit.   Here is what I suggest to do:

Golden rule - Measure carefully and cut cautiously.  If you cut too much there is no way to fix it.

1 -
Measure carefully: Try the belt on and mark where the knob of the belt buckle falls on the belt strap. I suggest putting a small piece of tape on the belt and mark the tape. Take the belt off and measure from the mark on the tape to the center hole of the belt. This is the amount you will cut off the end of the belt strap. I suggest you cut the belt so that you will use the center hole. This will allow for adjustments in clothing thickness as well as weight loss or gain.

2 - Remove the belt strap from the belt buckle by using a tiny screwdriver to unscrew the tiny screws.  Do not remove them totally, just enough to allow the belt to slide outIf you drop one of those tiny screws it will be very hard to find.

3 - Cut cautiously:  Cut the belt using a pair of sharp scissors, box cutter, or utility knife. If you are nervous about this you can cut a bit less than the measured amount from step 1. It is better to cut again than to cut too much. I do sell belt straps separately for $12.95.

4 - Replace the belt buckle, try the belt on and if it is still too big, repeat steps 1 - 4.

Buying your own belt strap:
The belt strap should be 1 1/8" wide  Any wider will not fit.  Any smaller and the screws won't secure it properly inside the buckle.   Here are two websites that I found that sell 1 1/8" wide belt straps:  www.naturalreflections.com  www.beltmaster.com   There are many more that offer a full range of prices.  I found a beautiful belt at a local high end resale shop that was nearly new and nicely priced.

You can buy belt straps that fold over and snap in place around an ordinary belt buckle or a belt that already has a buckle.  I suggest that you order a size about  7" longer than you would usually wear to allow you to cut the strap to size. This is because you will be cutting off the end of the belt strap that folds over and snaps in place around an ordinary belt buckle or cutting off the entire buckle. Measure carefully and cut cautiously.  If you cut too much there is no way to fix it.

Use steps 1-4 outlined above to adjust the size of the belt strap.

You may have to enlarge the belt holes to accommodate the size of the belt knob. This can be done by making a 1/4" cut in one side of the hole which allows it to open as the knob goes through.  You can also drill the hold a bit larger.  I fine this works very well.
